PARKER'S FIRST T-BALL GAME!!!
Well needless to say it was a priceless moment. We have been practicing a lot with him hoping he would really enjoy playing the game. This past week he has been getting better and better at hitting. He also seems much less afraid of the ball and has been catching it some.

Well the moment of truth came and his first game is here. He was SO EXCITED to get his uniform and realize he is number 8 on the REDS. Parker's team was up to bat first and he was toward the end of the lineup. After 6 runs and right before Parker's first bat they switched. So I explained he got to lead off next inning. He started off playing outfield and didnt see much come his way. But then he got to play 3rd base and the only ball that came toward him he ran up and stopped it and threw it to 1st. We were so proud of him. Oh yeah and both at bats he got good hits and ran to 1st beating out the throws. Then made it home. At one point in the game when he realized his team was doing very well by getting the other batters out he yelled, "THIS IS AWESOME THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER!!!" In the dug out Parker was the leader getting the team pumped up and cheering for every one of their teammates. He said his favorite part was at the end lining up and telling the Blue Jays "good game".
Now for some Pictures

Rolling through 2012

Its been an extremely busy and eventful few months. We have had our ups and downs. The power of prayer is real and it helps. I suppose I will start with the news that my father has a rare form of cancer and has already been through one very painful procedure to have the tissue removed. We got some bad news in that the tissue that is still there is still cancerous. Dad is still being very brave and putting on a happy face even though I know he is very worried about it. His wonderful friend and neighbor Andy gave him a fridge magnet that has a picture of John Wayne on it. It ways "courage is when your scared as hell and you saddle up anyways" Yup that's Dad alright. He has an appointment with a specialist at Baptist Hospital on the 25th. So prayers for that.. I hope he has all sorts of good options.
Parker has been doing SO MUCH better in school. He is really enjoying the friends he has made in class and looking forward to being a first grader. This past Friday he had his first T-ball practice and did great. True to form Parker continues his record of being the "doctor" of the group. Anytime someone falls down he is the first one on the scene to help them up and dust them off. He may not be the best hitter or catcher or thrower out there. But Parker can certainly take home the "heart of the team" award.

Christmas 2011

This Christmas was wonderful. Being able to stay at home mostly and have all of our family at different times come to our home. Made it a lot less stressful with little travel. Parker getting older is starting to be able to grasp the concept of Christmas a little better and is starting to get a lot more excited about it. He really wishes it could be every day. But I tried to explain to him that if it was every day, it would make it less exciting.

TOO LONG SINCE LAST POST!!

Ok I admit it. Im slack. Ever since our departure from Facebook updates are fewer and fewer. Obviously this isnt as easy and quick to update as Facebook. But I'll try and do better. Its just been an absolute whirlwind of a couple months for us. So here they come...
